Why Choose CHOCCHICK’s Bed Guard Rail 2.0

As scientific parenting concepts and the focus on children’s safety continue to increase, safety products such as bed guard rail is gradually entering thousands of households.

The birth of each newborn brings endless joy to the family, and naturally, they are meticulously cared for by everyone.

However, the activities of infants and young children are often random and lack safety awareness, which brings certain safety hazards.

Therefore, products that protect children’s safe growth, such as the popular bed rails, head bumpers, and playpens, have emerged in recent years.

Today, we will focus on bed guard rail products, which have a longer usage period and are more widespread in the market.

Choosing a suitable bed guard rail is very important. It is suitable for children aged 3 months to 5 years.

Infants start turning over, crawling, and standing with support from around 3-4 months. As their physical abilities increase, babies prefer to be active rather than lying quietly in bed.

Bed rails are safety devices that prevent babies from falling off the bed.

Even though most of the time babies are accompanied by family members while sleeping and playing. There are instances when babies wake up first and move around the bed in a small range.

If there is no supervision from family members, they might fall off the bed. To prevent such situations, bed rails were invented.

So, how do we choose a high-quality bed rail product? I believe the following aspects should be considered:

1. Material

Bed rails are mainly composed of two parts – frame and fabric. The common materials on the market are polyester fiber and metal tubes.

However, our high-end 2.0 model uses aluminum alloy tubes for the frame, which are lighter, corrosion-resistant, and less prone to oxidation than metal tubes.

The fabric part uses peach skin velvet and dense mesh fabric, providing a better texture and feel, and is not easily deformed with long-term use.

There is no need to worry about the fabric becoming loose over time, reducing safety.

Additionally, our side pillars are widened to 71mm compared to the common 40mm on the market, making them wider and more stable.

The top bracket is wrapped in thickened eco-friendly EVA foam, effectively preventing the baby from bumping into the rail while playing in the bed.

2. Anti-Mistouch

Babies often fiddle with everything with their little fingers. If they accidentally press the switch and open the bed rail, it loses its protective function.

In our bed rail design, we took special consideration of this point and creatively invented a three-step lock design.

First, slide the switch on top of the pillar, then push and pull the outer switch, and finally press down the top bar.

You can operated the switch single-handedly, allowing parents to complete the operation with one hand while holding the baby, making it safer and more convenient.

3. Fabric Tightness

The tightness of the fabric directly relates to the protective effect. Each piece of our product undergoes rigorous testing before entering the market.

The length of the fabric and the mesh material have very detailed specifications to ensure that the fabric is tight and not easily torn.

If the fabric is too short, it will be difficult to install, and both sides will not be tight at the same time. If it is too long, it will be loose and lose its protective function.

Our fabric length perfectly fits the length of the top and bottom bars, which is the best length determine after multiple tests.

4. Stability

Our bed rail base uses an L-shaped large foot design, with the support extending into the bed frame, effectively increasing friction and providing excellent support.

Installation only requires slightly lifting the mattress and pressing the support under the mattress without the need for drilling or screws, making it very easy to operate without damaging the bed frame.

Our bed rail height is 85-100cm, effectively protecting babies up to 1 meter tall.

The height is according to national safety standards to ensure safety without creating a restrictive environment for the baby.

The support extends 47cm into the bed frame, with a large friction base of 22cm, and the entire support extends 69cm into the mattress, supporting up to 90kg.

5. Connectors and Assembly

Our bed guardrail 2.0 comes with optional connectors and straps to enhance stability effectively.

  • For single-sided purchase, you’ll need 1 strap;
  • For two sides, you’ll need 2 straps;
  • For three sides, only 1 strap in a Y-shape;
  • For four sides, no straps are necessary, especially for embedded mattresses, where adjustment to the appropriate height suffices.

The L-shaped connectors serve to secure adjacent pieces when need multiple pieces, providing an additional layer of stability to prevent babies from falling at the corners.

  • One piece requires no connectors;
  • Two pieces require one connector;
  • Three pieces require two connectors;
  • Four pieces require four connectors.

The connectors are fix with screws for added security, concealed beneath a layer of silicone material that requires effort to expose, beyond the strength of a baby.

When using one piece, secure one end at the bed head’s bottom and place the iron piece at the other end between the mattress and bed frame.

  • For two pieces, form an L-shape; need one strap, linking two base straps together to prevent the guardrail from pushing outwards; for installation on both sides, need two straps;
  • For three pieces, only need one strapin a Y-shape arrangement;
  • For four pieces, only need one foot support between adjacent sides; stacking them together would compromise stability.

During assembly, first connect the upper and lower crossbars, insert them into the fabric cover, pull both sides straight, close the zipper, connect the base to the uprights, and insert the feet into the base to complete installation.

6. Adaptability

Considering various mattress heights and bed types, we set multiple adjustment levels, with seven gears in total.

These adjustments allow the bed rail to fit closely with the mattress without gaps, preventing the risk of trapping.

Our bed rails are suitable for most standard beds on the market. And if you use single panel, we recommend three panels for comprehensive protection.

The above six points are key considerations when choosing a bed guard rail, providing valuable reference for consumers selecting this product.
